Sellwild Shipping Policy

Sellwild helps sellers ship items that they sell via the Sellwild marketplace. While not all items can be shipped, most can as long as they follow Sellwild’s Shipping Policies.

The following articles together comprise Sellwild’s Shipping Policies:

  • Sellwild Shipping Policy

  • Sellwild Packaging Policy

  • Sellwild Buyer Guarantee

If you choose to buy or sell an item with shipping, you must comply with all of Sellwild’s Shipping Policies. Any violation of these policies may result in the suspension or cancelation of your account at Sellwild’s sole discretion.

To ensure that you’re compliant with the Sellwild Shipping Policy, please review the following guidelines.

Sellwild reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to determine what items are eligible for shipping. Shipping via Sellwild is subject to our Terms of Service and Shipping Policies. Sellers are also responsible for complying with all applicable US laws and regulations regarding mailing, including but not limited to US Postal Service (USPS) applicable policies.

Items ALLOWED to ship

  1. Items that use Sellwild’s provided label and are dropped off at a USPS approved location (mailbox, Post Office, or a USPS approved postal provider). That's how we track shipments so sellers get paid.

  2. Items that are under 20 pounds.

  3. Items with a sale price under $2,000.

  4. Packages that fit one of the 5 available size ranges (X-Small, Small, Medium, Large, X-Large). You must select the correct weight, box size, and label for the item you are shipping. Packages cannot have any side longer than 18 inches.

If more postage is due because you selected an incorrect label weight, do not ship the item. You’ll need to cancel the transaction and re-list the item with the correct weight.

  5. Items with batteries, (including lithium batteries), can be shipped but MUST be labeled correctly using black permanent marker with the following text: “Restricted Electronic Device” AND “Surface Transportation Only”. Both texts must be present on the box at least in one location.

  6. Items identified as hazardous material by USPS, or any other carrier, MUST be packaged and shipped in their own box. Never include hazardous material in a box with non-hazardous material.

All boxes containing hazardous material MUST be labeled using black permanent marker with the following text: “Surface Transportation Only”.

Items NOT ALLOWED to ship

The shipping option may not be available to you if your item doesn’t meet policy guidelines. The app will present the shipping option during the posting process if your item is okay to ship. We cannot enable the shipping option if the site has determined that your item is ineligible for shipping.

  1. Items that do not use Sellwild’s provided shipping label. Items without the official Sellwild shipping label cannot be tracked or verified by Sellwild, so sellers won’t get paid.

Sellwild only supports and protects items that are shipped with the Sellwild provided shipping label, and that are mailed at an approved USPS, UPS or FedEx location. For more information, see the Sellwild Packaging Policy.

  2. Items that are not dropped off at a USPS, UPS or FedEx approved location (mailbox, Post Office, USPS approved postal provider, UPS or FedEx).

Sellwild does not support items shipped through mail carriers other than USPS, UPS, FedEx, or our oversized shipping partners. Sellers who choose to ship their items via a non-USPS, non-UPS or non-FedEx shipping platform will not be supported by Sellwild or covered by the 2-Day Purchase Protection Policy.

  3. Items that are over 20 pounds.

  4. Items with a sale price over $2,000.

  5. Packages that do not adhere to the available 5 size ranges and dimensions (X-Small, Small, Medium, Large, X-Large). Packages cannot have any side longer than 18 inches.

  6. Items containing batteries or hazardous materials that are NOT properly labeled.

  7. Hazardous materials that are packaged with non-hazardous materials. Hazardous materials as defined by USPS must be shipped separately and the package must be labeled using black permanent marker with the following text: “Surface Transportation Only”.

  8. Drop-shipped items; drop-shipping is when a seller purchases items from another retailer and directly ships them to a buyer. This type of product sourcing can cause issues for both buyers and sellers and is not allowed on Sellwild.

  9. Anything prohibited or restricted as determined by USPS. Sellers are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations regarding mailing. Some items must be shipped via ground transportation only.

To ensure that your item qualifies and complies with USPS shipping guidelines, see the following resources: Domestic Shipping Restrictions and Informational Video for Shippers.

To report suspected or detected shipping fraud, email the US Postal Inspection Service at: ISACGRevenueInvestigationsProductSecurityReporting@usps.gov

  10. Items that do not adhere to Sellwild Terms of Service. Check the Prohibited items guidelines to ensure that your item is okay to sell and ship.

Fees

The following fees apply to shipping transactions on Sellwild.

Buyer Fees:

  • Buyers are responsible for paying for shipping when they purchase items shipped via Sellwild.

  • As a Seller friendly marketplace, Sellwild does not request Sellers pay for shipping costs, unless a Seller explicitly chooses to set up "Free Shipping" to buyers as a Shipping Promotion.

For more information on how to offer "Free Shipping" as a seller, see Setting Up a Shipping Promotion.

The buyer shipping fee is based on the shipping costs associated to ship from the seller address to the buyer address. The buyer will see an estimated shipping rate when selecting "Estimate Shipping" and the exact amount when they are completing the checkout flow. This shipping fee is deducted from the total amount the buyer pays for before the money is deposited into your account.

  • If USPS holds a package for the reason “postage due”, Sellwild will not reimburse for additional postage needed to continue/complete shipment of the package. Sellers are solely responsible for any necessary fees or overages with USPS.

  • Buyers pay for both the Shipping fees and sales tax for their Sellwild purchase. We’ll show you the shipping cost for each item so you'll know how much you'll pay before you buy.

  • Sales tax is determined based on the ship-to address buyers provide.

  • Buyers can cancel an offer if the seller hasn't accepted the offer. Once the seller accepts the offer, the buyer has committed to paying for the item and its shipping.

2-Day Purchase Protection

To learn how Sellwild protects shipping purchases, see the 2-Day Purchase Protection Policy.
